Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!
Luke 19:38-40 “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”  “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” “I tell you,” He replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
Jesus encourages the joyful acclamations of everyone’s worship!  Jesus knew the natural response would be to celebrate the coming of the Lord.  This was still incomprehensible to the Pharisees.
Oh, that we could have ways to express the joy because of Easter Sunday.
Isaiah 55:12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
May your heart celebrate this weekend because of the resurrection!  Praise God inside and out, from your heart and through your voice!  In whispers and in singing, Praise the Lord!

Easter Joy
(a poem by Joanna Fuchs)
Jesus came to earth, to show us how to live, how to put others first, how to love, and how to give.
Then He set about His work, that God sent Him to do; He took our punishment on Himself; He made us clean and new.
He could have saved Himself, calling angels from above, but He chose to pay our price for sin; He paid it out of love.
Our Lord died on Good Friday, but the cross did not destroy His resurrection on Easter morn that fills our hearts with joy.
Now we know our earthly death, like His, is just a rest.  We'll be forever with Him in Heaven, where life is best.
So, we live our lives for Jesus, think of Him in all we do. Thank you, Savior; Thank you Lord. Help us love like you!
